I posted about the Samsung Upstage (Also known as the Samsung Ultra Music Phone) and as promised here is the Samsung Ultra Video Phone to be released only in Europe (as of now). I am assuming that if the Upstage does well then his big brother might make the trip overseas but I wouldn’t bet on it.

The phone is a lot like the Upstage in that it has two screens and two sets of inputs on each side. There is a switch on the side of the phone toggling the screen from one side of the phone to the other. So you dial on a small screen just like the Upstage and then flip the switch and have music and video controls on the other side, also just like the Upstage.

So, you may be asking, what is the difference? Well boys and girls, as you can probably see from the photo the Samsung Ultra Video (also known as the F500) actually pivots or swivels from one corner of the phone so that you can actually sit the phone on a table, or maybe your in flight platform thing on a plane, and watch yourself some movies without having to prop up the phone.

Also, if you notice the photo I have up there you can see the antenna sticking out the top, thats because it will also grab TV broadcasts (although I don’t know if that feature will work in America). The antenna tucks away into the swiveled screen when it is not in use. One of the best features (in my opinion) is that the phone comes out of the box with DivX playback. So you can copy your movies onto an Micro SD card and watch them without any conversions on the Ultra Video’s 2.4 inch screen. It also plays MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and AVI. Now the phone itself only has 400MB internal memory but the Micro SD cards will go up to 2GB. On top of all that they are still able to squeeze in a 2-mega pixel camera.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this little bad boy, I think its the silver/metal accents that really do it for me, plus I keep thinking of how impressive it will look sitting on the table in front of me while I watch 300 at McDonalds.
