Ok seriously, I know that there were lots of phones with touch screens before the iPhone, but I think that’s what has really started the trend with some of these manufactures to add more touch screen features to their cellphones. Now Pantech has decided to create a slider but leave off the bottom/under buttons and replace them with a Second touchscreen. I guess it’s a whole lot like a Nintendo DS in that aspect. So Pantech does occasionally produce a phone that turns my head every now and then. Just a little while ago I was trying to find some information on a new phone concept they announced today and I came across this little beauty of a concept from 06. Its called the Pantech Transformer and as you can see it has a very large screen that swivels (Probably great for watching movies).

What is with all of these rotating phones? Do you think that phone manufactures are adding moving parts because it looks cooler or is the decision to rotate parts inspired by actually being useful?
