Cingular Unleashes The Nokia N75

May 3rd, 2007, posted in Nokia

Nokia N75Finally, a US carrier with the smarts to add an NSeries phone to their lineup. The Nokia N75 may not be the flashiest phone on the market but… A: It’s a Nokia so you know you are getting a quality product. B: It has almost any feature you would want from a cellphone like a 2mp Camera, Bluetooth, Full web browser, ect. The main feature that really makes this phone shine is the integrated music player and those handy music control buttons on the front of the flip screen. I haven’t had a chance to play with this phone in person but if the speaker quality is similar to that of my N80 then I think this phone is going to be a great hit.

Oh and I forgot the best news of all, it looks like with a slight contract extension you can snag the phone for somewhere around $100 to $150 which is amazing for any Nseries phone.

Nokia N77 for TV On The Go

May 3rd, 2007, posted in Nokia

Nokia N77Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy catching the latest episode of The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentlemen as much as the next guy, but I have never really felt the urge to watch TV on a screen the size of a matchbox. The Nokia N77 is for people on the go who are looking for some entertainment from their cellphone. The N77 comes with an integrated DVB-H for mobile TV viewing on a 2.4″ QVGA 16 million color display at 320 x 240 resolution. Running off S60 Operating System the phone comes with other standard NSeries features such as camera, bluetooth, music player ect… No word on pricing or availability yet. Leave me a comment and harass me if you want more info and I can dig deeper.

MotoRokr Z6 Update

May 3rd, 2007, posted in Motorola

MotoRokr Z6
Now don’t get confused with the MotoRokr E6, this my friends is the MotoRokr Z6 and although it may share the name of MotoRokr it gets even more confusing because it shares the look/styling of a MotoRizr (are you keeping up with me still?). Alright well in all honesty I think the Moto line of phones could use a new revamp. I do like the new styling cues they have added to update from the original Razr but its time to move forward even more. Anyway, back to the Z6, which according to slashphone.com has received a nice little update that should help with the advanced video and audio features of the phone. Now you can transfer all of your favorite music quickly with USB 2.0 and (get this) Windows Media Player 11.

I didn’t Know people still used windows media player… for anything! Well thats news to me. The drag and drop feature is nice, but I find it strange that it wasn’t built in, I could do that from my Rokr E6 with the usb cord so I wonder why they would be late to getting around to doing this on the Z6?

Samsung SGH-i400 - Big Bang, Small Package

May 3rd, 2007, posted in Samsung

Samsung SGH-i400
Well I am guessing the SGH-i400 from Samsung is not going to be released in America (as usual). The phone has some really decent potential though, running GPRS/Edge tri-band (900/1800/1900) and sporting a 2.3″ VGA TFT 262k color display. An integrated 2megapixel camera, bluetooth A2DP connectivity, dual speakers, dedicated music keys, Micro SD slot (up to 4gb)… Seriously Samsung has once again crammed almost everything but the kitchen sink into a nice little handheld. Unfortunately the i400 is not 3g but that shouldn’t bother Europe and Asia when it hits their markets soon… I cant seem to find any information on pricing yet but I will keep you posted.
